Complete the series with Grandmaster Maurice Ashley in The Life-changing Magic of Chess, world champion Sky Brown in The Life-changing Magic of Skateboarding, and social media sensation baker Joy Wilson in The Life-changing Magic of Baking.
I'm almost the same age as Nandi was when she watched a video of a famous drummer. She mentioned he was smiling and it appears Nandi gets a lot of joy from playing drums as a child. I'd recommend this book to anybody who warns to learn drumming. Half of the book teaches it to beginners in quite a fun way. I enjoyed the chapters 'Music isn't a competition' & 'Express yourself' that explain how it's more fun to play music with others rather than only competing against them, and that music can help make life's challenges seem easier to tackle - like when Nandi noticed her Dad was going through depression, she wrote a song.
