A very creative and fun book with a few plot twists. I really liked the character Grimaldi

In the story the King hasn’t been out of his castle in years, but he’s coming to the Barbaric Ball and he’s bringing his son Tangine. Amelia is very excited because she will finally have someone her own age to dance with. He also joins her class, but Tangine isn’t kind and steals her loyal pet, Squashy. But then Amelia traps Tangine to try to get Squashy back, so then Amelia, Florence and Grimandi (Florence is a yeti and Grimandi is a Ghoul) go to get Squashy. I would recommended it to my best friend because we like spooky stories.

My favourite bit in Barbaric Ball was Amelia Fang finding the pumpkin. my least favourite bit was when the Ball was sabotaged. I would absolutely recommend it

I really like the stories of Amelia Fang and her friends (Squashy, Florence, Grimaldi, etc). I like when she becomes friends with Tangine, and the discoveries they do. These books are fun and entertaining.
